DENTISTRY FOR THE DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED 

The DDD Foundation is seeking a Pediatric Dentist who can provide dental treatment in a hospital and sedate patients in an office setting. The job location is in Atlanta, Georgia. The dentist will meet with patients, assess their dental health, and provide our special needs patients with quality dental services. Please email inquiries to dr_ron@dddfoundation.org. 

Dentist Requirements: 

• Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree, a Pediatric Dental Residency Certificate, and Pediatric Board Certification within 5 years of employment. 
• Self-funded Georgia state license, DEA registration, health insurance, and malpractice insurance.
• Malpractice insurance must list DDD Foundation, Inc as an additional insured.
• Signing bonus requires a 2-year commitment. A prorated repayment of the signing bonus is required if 2-year commitment is not honored.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to keep detailed records.
• Willingness to comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding dental care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures
• Willingness to maintain hospital credentials by meeting all hospital requirements. 
  
  

Dentist Responsibilities: 

• Meet with patients’ parents/caregivers to discuss dental concerns.
• Perform dental procedures such as extractions, crowns, fillings, cleanings, sealants, etc.
• Place appropriate space maintainers or order lab made space maintainers.
• Prescribe medications for dental pathology, pain and pre medication.
• Give patient sedatives or local anesthesia prior to administering treatments.
• Order diagnostic x-rays or impressions as needed.
• Keep accurate records relating to the oral health of patients and treatment rendered.
• Manage and communicate with other staff members to provide care to patients. 
  
  

Salary and Benefits:

• $50,000 signing bonus (can be used to cover state licensing fees, health insurance, moving expenses, DEA fees, and liability insurance)
